Sara Peattie from the Puppeteers’ Cooperative has been working on giant puppets for the 30th annual Wake Up the Earth festival by Spontaneous Celebrations. It’s Saturday May 3rd in Jamaica Plain. It sounds really neato, and I’d LOVE to go. Unfortunately, I have to work that day. But everyone else should check it out and tell me aaaaaaaall about it!
I am in total Punch and Judy mode today! I think it’s because I’ve been working a lot with Puppetmaster Jake‘s interview. I’m actually thinking about adding a whole page of Punch and Judy resources to my website, because they were brought up in almost all of my interviews. And that’s because Punch and Judy are so crucial to the whole idea of adult puppetry. They were the original adult puppets.
So since I might have a whole page of Punch and Judy stuff, I’m not going to put much here. This will just be a teaser. I bet you can hardly wait!
I just noticed that two of my last few posts were supposed to have video, but the video is not showing up. I tried to fix it, and it’s not working right now. So for now just use the links and I’ll try to get those videos up there when I can.
